1. What is a BI Tool?
Business Intelligence, also known as “BI”, is a term currently used to describe a discipline which captures and assesses various aspects of a company and its customers. Various processes and applications are used to assist in gathering, storing, analyzing, and providing access to intelligent information about a company’s data in order to identify significant trends or patterns that ultimately enable a decision-making process. This knowledge provides a company competing in a specific market, such as the casino industry, with a realistic and quantifiable advantage.
2. What are the minimum system requirements?
A Windows based PC, 2GB of Ram, Excel 2007 or greater, Base SAS® 9.1 or greater with Access to PC File Formats. Dashboard is best viewed in Internet Explorer 8.0, Safari 4.X, Firefox 3.X, and Google Chrome
3. What is SAS®?
SAS® software helps companies in every industry transform their data into predictive insights about company performance, customers, markets, risks and more. SAS® software provides a technology platform and market-leading analytic applications to help you not only navigate today's challenges but capitalize on tomorrow's opportunities. Up All Data leverages this powerful tool and turns the base application into a visually charged and easy to use system. SAS® software is widely used amongst many of the top casinos in the world.
4. Do I need to learn how to use SAS®?
No, we will create a fully customized system that will only require the user run a pre-existing program.
5. How do you access my data?
Access to the data will be determined upon the initial property review with our technical specialists. Access can be as easy as data links to existing text files or as robust as ODBC access to your data sources via the SAS® engine. The level of data access, however, can limit the level of automation the solution provides.
6. Where will the data be stored?
The data will be stored on your existing servers. The only requirement is that the server storing the data be accessible by the server housing the web-enabled BI solution.
